Actually look at analytics. The various platforms have built-in analytics that can show you which of your posts get the most attention. This will dictate the type of content you should post moving forward.
Have fun and be interesting. If you’re not interested in what you’re saying, why would anyone else be?
Many businesses haven’t the time or inclination to do this themselves. In addition, they don’t have the expert knowledge to make social media beneficial to their businesses. But right now, almost all business think they need social media services whether or not they actually do.
Here is one basic strategy that has worked well for us:
1. Interview your client on a regular basis (monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, etc.).
2. Transcribe the interview.
3. Create a content calendar based off the content you got from the interview.
4. Leverage that content into multiple social media content pieces.
5. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
One piece of software I can highly recommend for social media management is Hootsuite (https://hootsuite.com).
